I really enjoyed this book. Some of my friends found the narration a detriment to the story, but I actually loved the audiobook.  It did have the detached narration style that reminded me of I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, but I found this more impactful.  I listened to it super quickly and was constantly engaged.  (also continuously perturbed  by the characters)

I found this a clever way to dissect culture, privilege, representation, appropriation, discrimination, entitlement, and remorse. (and so many other themes)

While I don't know how long this book will stick with me as a whole, I know I'll ponder random details and anecdotes for years to come.  There was not a wasted detail in these ~300 pages.
