- This collection of essays lays out many of the traps society sets for young white women, ranging from how your body is never right to trying to be the "cool girl."
- I thought a lot of this book does a good job talking about how even if you didn't have an easily-labeled traumatic event in your childhood, your experiences can still have long lasting effects, and it can take years to understand how you learned to compensate and change yourself to cope.
- I found it to be a bit overly long for a book of essays, but worth seeking out if you're looking to fill time between Lindy West books or if you're looking for stories about having that feminist awakening.
