this is a piece about love.
when you read through the book, you can sense all of the love that ash has for eiji. it's not even about sacrificing his life. there's more about it; even if ash loses his freedom, honor, independence, mental and phisical health, his core values and truths, he does everything to let eiji keep this things and live his best life.
maybe it's dumb and naive, but so fucking beautiful in the same time.
