To Kill a Mocking Girl
by Harper Kincaid
Book was alright, but I didn't like any of the characters. The dialogue felt like it was trying way too hard to be quirky and funny only to come off as super cringe. Like, no normal person thinks:
(He also smelled like sexy, musky man.)
This is not a smutty romance book. That's the kind of cringe line you'd read in one of those.
The audio for the audiobook also wasn't consistent, often changing volume. It made me think that the narrator forgot to do a line or messed it up so she recorded it later and added it as an after thought without caring if it levels were correct.
Not a terrible book, but not a great one, either.
