I Don’t know what I was expecting from this book based on the cover, but it was not exactly what I was thinking, but at the same time it was. I was expecting an adventure where good triumphs over evil and love is eternal. Instead I got a dragon (who look like dinosaurs) fantasy about a kingdom where the princess daughter has to marry and consummate the marriage to her father in order to pass power to the next ruler. Uuummmmm UGHHHHHH.

This book starts out with a human couple taking a vacation in a cabin in the woods. But over night the dragons come and take the woman. Turns out she is a princess who ran from her home to make a life where she had complete say over everything that affects her.

Her geeky boyfriend Nills, may not seem like much, but he is full of heart and is determined to get the love of his life back. He hitches a ride to her world where he steadily defeats all those who stand in his way, while transforming into a dragon himself.

This book did not have the ending I was expecting. I get the ending, and I can understand why the author chose it’s direction, but I hated it. I can’t say more without giving things away.

I will not be recommending this to friends, however, the artwork was amazing, and I can not wait to see what the author comes up with next.
