purrfectly 's review for:
The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark
by Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan
informative
slow-paced
While I agreed with all the points here and got some good examples to support my general argumentation, I'm not actually sure who the audience of this book is. The first half focused on aliens, and then witch-hunts and such as analogous to this, was actually extremely interesting and made connections I hadn't thought to make. If this book had only been that I would have enjoyed it more, but the second half seems like it must just be preaching to the choir, and as part of the choir I found it boring.
