Busted by Gina Ciocca

NetGalley and the publisher offered me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I post reviews like this plus hundreds of others on my blog, Rachel's Reading. Check it out!

So I originally thought this book was going to be very similar to Veronica Mars, but unfortunately it wasn't. I have a bad habit of assuming I know what books are going to be like before I read them, and when they aren't what I expect, I don't love them. "Busted" was a sweet Young Adult Contemporary Romance book, but it doesn't really go too much beyond the superficial. Marisa is following TJ, the person her frenemy thinks is cheating on her, she starts to fall in love with. While the ending was somewhat predictable, it was a nice palette cleanser, and I don't regret reading it. It took me a bit of time to get through, if only because it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, and it didn't really seem as fast paced as I tend to enjoy my books. But overall, I'm grateful I got a chance to read and review this book!
