unfortunately this was not the strongest start to the trans rights readathon for me.

i found the main character almost unbearable. he was so shitty to his boyfriend, friends, brother, parents, coworkers, and literally just random people around the town.

on the other hand, devon is the most adorable character i’ve ever read and they (i listened to this on audiobook and do not know how to spell their neopronouns, but they’re definitely non-binary) deserve much better than noah. i was smiling literally every time devon appeared. the book would’ve been infinitely better if they were the main character instead of noah.

i enjoyed listening to the exploration of gender, sexuality, and pronouns, and i hope to learn more as i make my way through the rest of my tbr for the trans rights readathon!
