Skin Trade by Laurell K. Hamilton
4.0

Rereading this one for the first time. It will be the same for the others in the series after this. Anyway, I must have been really triggered by the sex scene at the end where Vittorio rolled Anita and all the tigers because that's mostly what I remember about this book. A little bit of the psychic SWAT team but that's it. Rereading this I realize that scene was much much shorter and had less of an impact on the plot than my memory told me it did. I love so much about this book now. The psychic SWAT team is still super cool and impressive. The 4 supernatural Marshalls together is always an interesting dynamic. They are all such different people that they bring something different to each conversation and interaction yet they work so well together. And its always interesting when Bernardo and Otto have differing opinions on regular stuff. Ones you wouldn't expect. Winter and Truth got some more face time too which makes me happy. Max, Bibiana and Victor are interesting. Actually how closely Max works with the locals is new and innovative in this world. Lastly, I don't know how Anita learned to deal with all the sexual harassment and just straight sexism while dealing with the police. Its been there since book one and only gotten worse since word got out about her boyfriends. I don't think I could handle it.
