Into the dark was a compelling book overall. I can't say that I liked any of the characters. Their actions speak louder than words. It all felt a bit too extreme.

It's riveting in parts, with some character oddities that were fascinating to see evolve in certain scenes. Wealth and thirst will change a person in a few days, and this group has revealed to be the worst-case scenario for it.
