i read this book for the first time during the trans rights readathon in March and i loved it SO much, so when my monthly readathon group had a mini challenge to read books with trees on the cover, i knew i had to reread! this is such a hauntingly, achingly beautiful story about gender identities and learning about yourself. everything i thought about it the first time rings true the second time. i love Bug so much and want to wrap them in a hug and tell them everything is going to be okay. and Jax was an awesome narrator!
