Thought provoking book that shows us the life of the protagonist in one weekend. So much has happened in a span of 3 days. You get a glimpse into academia and what it means to be black, male, and gay. You see the lives of his friends and peers who are also struggling with understanding their purpose in life, sexual identity, gender identity, trauma and their overall happiness and fulfillment with what they want in life. It wasn’t a light read by any means but at the end I needed to sit for a few days and contemplate am I happy? What makes me happy and what isn’t?
