Once again Leland, Jackson and their merry band of mischief makers had me in hysterics. From Leland rapping, to Santa Sasquatch and more there was always something to make me giggle even in the middle of another case to solve.

A case that starts out as locating a missing girl but ends up being turned and twisted into a completely different direction. The clever way this was slowly revealed kept me fully engaged in the outcome, turning the pages needing more. The usual cast of side kicks are there assisting with solving the case and some new villains provide action, drama and a laugh or two.

All of this happens around Christmas so Leland once again has to learn how to cope with all the ‘feelings’ and family togetherness so his dramatic side does get some more time to shine, much to Jackson’s amusement. Leland also gets to shower his friends with gifts, some thoughtful and meaningful, other not so much!

As with previous instalments in this series, the focus is more on untangling the mystery and less on steamy scenes although Leland and Jackson do, at times, showcase their unique view of romance!
I cannot get enough of this superbly written series and highly recommend it.
