This book is so good and so hard. Marisol and her sister, Gabi, are on the run from gang violence in El Salvador and have illegally entered the United States. They thought someone would be waiting for them, but there isn't. Marisol agrees to a risky experiment to try to guarantee asylum. Will love happen too?

There's a lot to discuss in this story, and I don't want to share too much because of spoilers. But my heart broke for Marisol over and over again, and yours will too.
