The Curveball
by Megan Cousins
I thought it was kind of cute and had its good moments and I really liked Jake as a book boyfriend (he's wonderful) and that we got to read Penelope's story, about her PCOS and how important that representation is. And baseball is my one true love, so that made me happy.
But... there were so many errors when it came to grammar and sentence structure, and just the quality of writing and editing. I felt like, at times, I was reading a poorly written fanfiction that was equally poorly edited. It REALLY bothered me. I thought this had much more potential and could have been great, but it disappointed me.
