3.5 stars. I liked this but I didn't love it. Its been awhile since I've read a modern romance. Even longer since I've read one with poc. Its like a whole new world, lol. Anyway, I thought this was realistic and relatable for the most part. Their reasons for disliking each other felt shallow. Like the author didn't build a convincing enough argument for me. I did not know this was part of a series so it may be that the animosity was built over the past 2 books and I missed it because of that. I may raise my rating after I read the others. The ending did it for me. I was really enjoying their relationship being built but then

Alexa saying she knew the whole time (which I had been hoping for) made it that much better.

Because as I said their reasons for hating each other were flimsy to me especially being Alexa's close friends for years. Things did not add up. Overall, it was cute and sexy.
