The Lost Plot by Genevieve Cogman
4.0

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

Wowzers.

Irene really shines in this one. As much as I missed having Vale be a presence in this book, I love that Genevieve Cogman showed us more of Irene's strength as an individual. She really had to think fast and change plans on the go, and showed a wonderful display of strength and fortitude.

I found it interesting that, having set this book in the prime of 1930's New York, Cogman focused quite heavily on the characterization on the people in that time frame and the location was much more understated. It could have been any large city in the US during that time frame.

Anyone looking for strong female characters who stick to their morals and hold their ground should read this series.
