A poetry collection focussing on family, trauma and religion. It is rather short, but the poems all fit together well and I was intruiged all the way through. As the title warns, the poems sometimes deal with heavy topics, but others often deal with uplifting and spiritual topics as well, and I enjoyed most of them a lot.
The poems are written in a wonderfully intense way and even though I've read a few novels by Emezi before, I found myself in even more awe of their writing style here.
All in all a really interesting poetry collection, that I can recommend.
