Horrific

This is easily up there with some of the worst books ive ever read in my life. It should be a crime for a book this bad to have such a following because its not deserved.
As an indie author myself its hard to criticise work of which i know the struggles that go into writing but this is just all kinds of terrible.

The MC Persephone is annoying, silly and uninteresting. The worldbuilding is shoddy, the plot is none existent. Hades is not that hot. The writing is terrible and the sex or lack there of is trash.

The stakes of their contract or whatever aren’t particularly high and the random sub plot of her journalism career and writing some inconsequential article about Hades was completely unnecessary and added nothing.

The overbearing mother in Demeter doesn’t even make sense. If shes so powerful, how does she not know whats going on for basically the entire book and why would she not want Persephone to be Mistress of the Underworld. There are worst things one could be!

I skimmed most of it cause it was just gut wrenchingly boring and completely overhyped.
