I received this book via an Instagram giveaway. It's a quick read with beautiful illustrations and it's about young Hédi and how she was taken away by Hitler's soldiers. That must have been terrible for everyone, but thinking about experiencing it as a child... it makes me want to cry. It's a sad tale with beautiful illustrations to help drive home the words that accompany them. It's a tale that shows just how important our pets are and how much they truly impact out lives.

I will say this, though. I think $18 is a bit of a steep price, and I certainly wouldn't have paid that for such a short book. With that said, I'm thankful I won it because it will be a nice addition to my library
