From Twinkle, with Love
by Sandhya Menon

“Geeks are smart and talented and passionate. I don’t think that’s a bad thing.”
This one was sitting on my bookshelf for so long. It was my oldest OwlCrate book on my TBR and it was time to read it for the readathon. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Menon’s previous book, Dimple. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews on this one and it’s why it took so long for me to pick it up. I liked it okay but I had a lot of problems with the MC. Twinkle was so self-absorbed that it got quite annoying. I know, a lot of teenagers are. Maybe if I was a lot younger, I would enjoy this more. I just couldn’t get behind her actions and how everyone hated her and she was the bottom of the bucket. She really had a problem with change and growth. Even though, she finally learns it just had me rolling my eyes and not connecting with her for most of the book. Her love interest, Sahil was amazing though. It was a really fast and easy read but I just had trouble connecting with the MC.
