In My Dreams I Hold a Knife
by Ashley Winstead
I was looking forward to reading this book for a while but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Between past and present tense, we follow Jessica who is part of a group of friends she met in college. When one of the friends, Heather, is found dead and another friend is accused of murdering her, the whole group falls apart. At a 10 year reunion, Jessica is determined to show everyone up and flaunt her success. Things don't go the way the friends plan when Heather's brother shows up determined to prove that one of them is the killer. There is zero character growth. I struggled with every single person as far as how likeable and relatable they weren't. I did enjoy the drama but a few character traits could've been toned down just a little.
