Paper Girls #5 by Brian K. Vaughan

relaxing sad fast-paced

Erin the teenager who got injured… I am the most interested in her character than any other character. Her friend continues to be homophobic and say really outlandish things. Sometimes it’s hard for me to read when there is a friend in a group who continues to be prejudice and discriminatory to a group of people, while others are still continuing to be their friend. I understand that as human beings we are not one dimensional. I also understand that being human means that we are multiple things. But I hate speech it’s just something I don’t think I can ever understand. And I’m not saying I’ve never had friends who have said and done problematic things . But I’ve always found myself at some point removing myself from the friendship because it becomes too much to deal with. Even in the specific issue I had previous issues the other teenagers call out the problematic teenager often. But it seems that that teenager doesn’t really care and just says what they want to say  and it’s ignorant to their discriminatory views.

Also I do have an affinity for space operas or things that go in and out of time so I am glad that this comic series have that in it.
