This was a bounding leap from The Queen of the Tearling.

What made this book was how much each P.O.V. mattered and was infesting! I don't know how she did it. The world, plot, and characters all grew wonderfully. Kelsea is such an amazing protagonist. She reminds me of what is great about a strong female protagonist. So many issues were touched on as well and I loved the way they were incorporated.

This is definitely a series to pick up!
