great resource for parents, educators, and library staff on the important of early literacy, going beyond the "just read out loud to them."

there are actionable steps and ideas, i liked the thought of the journaling prompts for parents too. As a parent, I feel overwhelmed with advice a whole lot, and this one did make me feel a bit like oh heck, i've missed my window (my oldest is six), but reflecting on each action step I have done those throughout parenting.

I take a more relaxed approach personally, but otherwise still recommend. Love that it is written by a local Milwaukee educator and researcher, and a Marquette almnus.
