omggggg this was so so so fun😭😭😭 absolutely devoured this book!! this is a book about skye and maya who are both exes of this douche bag jordy, jordy gets famous cause his sister marries into the royal family of a made up country in europe and then is the star of the first season of a dating show called second chance romance which is like the bachelor except all the contestants are his exes, maybe skye and maya fall in love who's to say.... this was such a charming novel! if you get over some of the less realistic aspects of the book lol it's so so fun!! it would have been so easy to have a villain mean girl character but the author sidestepped this by having realistic conflicts between all of the girls and drama but NEVER narratively demonising any of the other contestants and still having them be friends. this was such a girls girl book!! the friendships were so fun and I love all the dynamics not just between the main girls but the main girls with their friends, the producers and obviously jordy. I loved the message of this book and it actually had an understandable third act conflict!! while I think that they got together too quickly, I still did appreciate the build up from enemies to friends to lovers🥺🥺 really highly recommend to anyone looking for a sapphic contemporary ya!! 4.25 stars
