I’ve never read poetry before. At least, not as an adult. I didn’t think I’d ‘get’ them. I thought poetry was beyond my thinking capabilities. Anywho, I wanted to give this a try for something different. (I’m expanding my genres for want of diversity.)
It did not disappoint!
So powerful and poignant, so heartbreaking and sorrowful. MINDBLOWING! I’ve never read a book like it, but I definitely need to read more like it!
The Poet X really pulled at my heartstrings. I was upset, angry, attentive, sympathetic and empathetic, elated and relieved. CRIED! I’ve never cried at a book before
