The world-building and cultural aspects of Karak were quite interesting and refreshingly unique ! I liked reading about the magical Elthika, the special bonds they shared with their riders and rider training. To my disappointment the writing was atrocious, there were so many grammatical errors and the author's choice of certain words was extremely weird 😬Unfortunately the first 60% was very difficult to get into I didn't develop any interest whatsoever until the main leads gradually opened up to one another and they finally established an emotional connection. I personally didn't like the mmc at all his shitty cold personality and lack of communication with the fmc at the beginning was terrible.The romance felt very rushed and there was zero chemistry between the leads even with all that smut, idk it just felt very forced as if the author wanted to reach a deadline 😕 The ending hea was satisfactory at least and I'm patiently waiting to see where this series will go. Hopefully the romance and communication between love interests will be better in the next books !
