We Have Always Been Here: A Queer Muslim Memoir
by Samra Habib
challenging
informative
inspiring
slow-paced
This is not me rating the book "story' because you can't rate someone's life and experience.
This books was really interesting. I'm notnreligious and don't know a lot about religions. So listening/reading someone's experience with religion and queerness was interesting.
The author shed light on things we don't really think about us as white queers. Immigration, experience with religion, experience with family, loosing everything you know, struggling w/ identities, not seeing yourself anywhere.
Sometime though the writing felt a off, like fla and slow. But nothing too bad obv. Also i want to see her work
