Running
by Natalia Sylvester
Out of all the YA political books I've read this year, I think I liked the storyline in this one the best. Mari's dad is running for president, and she's at the age where she's finally able to understand his policies and arguments. And she's realizing she doesn't agree with them.
Mari struggles a lot in this book with how to deal with her changing beliefs in relation to her parents. This is something a lot of teens struggle with, especially if their beliefs don't align with their parents'. Everything about this was well done and I wish this book was getting more hype for that reason!
