This is a really cute book, and for someone who was never in the mindset of becoming an author, it's a very valid effort for a first book. There's definitely some structuring of sentences and descriptions that I feel are a bit amateur but I think, with time, Giovanna will become of the greats for chick-lit, the potential is there.

Billy is just adorable in his earnestness and though Sophie can be a tad annoying, she's not too hard to like. I do feel she was unfair to Billy at times when it came to his career - she can't really instruct him on where to draw the line as movies vary but he was also a bit stupid. I would have liked to have seen Paul get his comedown - a nice raging speech from Billy though maybe Billy taking a step back from the limelight was the subtle up yours to Paul.

Onwards to Christmas with Billy and Me! What do you mean it's not the right time of the year?
