This was a good story of hard work and a lot of motherly love. While it was hard to relate to the character of the story so many times, it was also painful that I sometimes did identify or relate to some of the onlookers in her life. Ugh. Everyone can learn something from this story. Your life can change if you have the right goals and put in the work and ignore all the haters. And we have no right to be judging anyone for their line of work and what they choose to do in order to feed, house, and clothe themselves and their loved ones. It's all about perspective, growth, and understanding. And I applaud this author's story and journey. 4 stars! (Sidenote: I DID want more workplace stories of what it's like to be a maid/housekeeper and get that inside scoop, but I was also satisfied where the story went when not discussing those elements).
