I received a copy from SoHo Press in exchange for an honest review. If I could give this a 4.5 I would. This book was something else entirely. The author easily seeped his entire being into it and it could be felt throughout it. You could feel the character's struggle and pain as your own. I definitely enjoyed reading it and discovering so many things that I hadn't known before. It's focused on a very terrifying and tortuous time that shaped so many people's lives.
