It's unfortunate that so many monster romances fall into the same pattern of being a super short story with barely any character development and no world/difference exploration. There will probably be more of that in later books but I don't want that; I want to know these characters (the royal these). While it's great there are 16 books in this series, how much are we really exploring? Everyone just shrugs their shoulders and goes along with everything like "Well, I guess that's how they do it here." It's ok to ask questions or be like 'Can I have a few to process this? It is extremely different than my culture and I need to wrap my head around it before I can make a decision'.
