Dial A for Aunties
by Jesse Q. Sutanto
4.5 / 5 ~ Before reading this I wondered how on Earth could an accidental murder be turned into a comedy and yet... This book did it perfectly.
It was funny, addictive, even romantic at times (although that part was clearly the least developed)
The centre of this book is the family dynamics. The love these women have for each other was beautiful. But it was also great to see how such love and care, especially in asian families, could be overwhelming and toxic at times, and how our main character delt with it so well.
