This was a reread that clocked in at 3 1/2 stars, this time. I read it for a research reason and it did work in my favor. And still enjoyed Luce and Daniels story even if this one smaller in scope. But the shadow creatures finally have a reason why they're there even if it ends up becoming a hassle in the long run.
