Some of the “romance” in this book felt really really forced or just like it came out of nowhere for how invested some of the characters then acted like they were. Broke the narratives pacing and intrigue for me at points. But overall it was fun and enjoyable and the resolution to some of the events felt quite solid. I am interested to see where it goes in the following book(s).
