Women & Power: A Manifesto
by Mary Beard
Women & Power: A Manifesto is a small tome with big ideas. The two chapters were initially two lectures given for London Review of Books (2014 and early 2017). She packs a lot of history and thought into what she says in a few pages about the history of power and what women can do to inherit/attain/receive the power that has silence them since the beginning of time.
They are not the most groundbreaking lectures and given before the #metoo movement, but they are a reminder that this problem has always been there and only now are we working through the cultural growth spurts of changing the power dynamics and women regaining their voice.
