Characters:
Monique is the a girl struggling with sex and the weight of being the preachers daughter. I've never read a book where the main character has vaginismus before and seeing her journey discovering herself and learning about sex was great. Sasha is a fellow church girl who Monique's mother constantly compares her to. I instantly liked her and her passion. Reggie is the resident bad boy. I at first found him a bit annoying but I came to really like him. I loved how confident, understanding and kind he is.

Plot:
After 29 fruitless attempts to have sex, Monique's boyfriend breaks up with her. I really liked that this book discusses vaginismus which isn't discussed often in media at all. It also discusses the lack of sexual education and how sex shaming has more than just psychological effects. I liked the dynamic of the trio. Reggie and Sasha are both supportive in their own ways. I also like how much they don't like Dom and criticize his reasoning for breaking up with Monique even if she doesn't see it at first. The climax of this story felt so freeing. I loved what was revealed about her parents and her family overall. I also loved the ending, it wasn't open ended and really wrapped up all the storylines.

Rating: I give this book a 5/5
