lizshayne 's review for:
The Lions of Al-Rassan
by Guy Gavriel Kay
I first read (rather than listened to) this book about 8 years ago and the wonder and majesty and utter perfection of it stuck with me.
The plot, as I discovered, did not. I remembered some things, but not enough about them, which just meant I was on tenterhooks because of the things I knew would happen, but I could not remember to whom.
I'm so glad I came back to this book, though. I was afraid it would not hold up to another read and that I would not be able to recapture how that first read felt. I have never been more delighted to be wrong.
