Nocturne is a blend of Beauty and the Beast, The Phantom of the Opera, and the Hades/Persephone myth but set in Chicago in the 1930s.  While it took me a little bit to get into because of the wordiness, I ended up really enjoying Nocturne!  Retellings are always hit or miss for me so I was happy I liked this one!  Nocturne is the perfect read for this winter season!
