First of all, I LOVE the cover, but it is completely misleading. I thought this book would be about something completely different. I’m glad it was because it’s one of my fav contemporaries, but I think the cover (and the title tbf) prepare you for a totally different book.
Anyway. The story. It’s so brilliant, such a wonderful representation of a contemporary, mutually respectful friendship between 2 adults. There’s sarcasm, and no overly cliched or overly romanticised dialogue and plot. They’re both brilliant MCs and are complex and likeable.
I love the female friendship in the story also.
Definitely a brilliant contemporary read!
