Reread - Original (05/2020) review below.

I noticed the audio for this available in Hoopla and grabbed it. I was listening and came to update in Goodreads, when I noticed I'd had it marked as read already! Oops! It's been almost four years, but I was still super surprised I hadn't remembered reading this. And I did READ it the first time, this time, audio edition, was a first.

One narrator for all six stories ... and while the narrator did a good job changing up voices and such, I still feel like this would have benefitted (a LOT) from different narrators. Especially MALE narrators, for the 1st person POVs (Carrick, Milo, Finn).

I think I will remember the read this time ;) Still just *** ... I liked it, didn't LOVE it like I have the books in the main series.

*** Original review (05/2020) *** I adored the Gateway series, the trilogy and the trackers. LOVE them. I had already ready Milo's Story, and it was included here, along with six other little looks at characters from the series.  There is Savannah's Story, Annabelle's Story, Carrick's Story, Karen's Story, Finn's Story and Hannah's Story. I found I had a little trouble really getting sucked in - which is often an issue for me with short stories, even when associated with a larger series. I think I liked the "current" stories the most, with characters that were foremost in the series. Savvy, Finn, Hannah. Annabell's was a little earlier on, recounting times before the books started. Karen's story was long before, and I just found I could NOT connect with her or the twin's mother as teenagers, Carrick's too (although he wasn't a teen).

So I was glad to have read them, but they aren't up there with the regular series at impacting my emotions and getting me absorbed in the stories. I was able to borrow it as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
