Destroy Me
by Tahereh Mafi
I really hated Warner. Then I read this. At first, I hated him even more. Simply said, he's a coward and that's not what we want in a love interest. He's never stood up to his father, which even unstable Juliette did by escaping. But later, you start feeling kind of bad for him. His obsession with Juliette is kind of creepy and not healthy at all, but healthy relationships in YA Romances... not expected. Her journal entries are heart wrenchingly painful, and Warner reading them leads to him becoming unstable. He admits to not knowing the difference between right and wrong, which is concerning of course, but to be expected of someone raised by a father like his. I still don't like him, but we'll see.
