I've never been so engaged by a historical nonfiction as I was reading O'Donnell in-depth analysis of the many players on all sides of the 1968 election (and beyond). I wept after the assassinations and wanted to throw the book out the window when the corruption & racism were revealed... This is an epic read. The first presidency I remember is Clinton, and the first election is W.'s first in 2000 so this book truly opened my eyes to the inner workings of a time I could never know.

I hope he is inspired by another era and writes more SOON.
