I'm just not sure if I can really accept it as cannon. It was also more like a science fiction book than a fantasy book. I loved it so much, but I also hated it. It is almost like someone's crackpot fan fiction. I did love Scorpius though, there is nothing wrong with him. Albus and Scorpius have a great relationship and I love it. I guess what I'm trying to say is, for the most part I loved the characters and I understand the flaws that JK gave Harry in this, but it kinda tarnishes what I have spent the last several years daydreaming about.
One of my biggest issues with this is the story line. It's all over the place. Yes, it kinda flows, but time travel is very hard to follow. Especially when there is this much of it and contradicting time lines.
Another issue I have is Delphni. I get that she is a big part of this story line that JK chose to take, but I don't think it is really believable that Voldemort would have a child. I don't believe that Voldemort would have thought that continuing his blood line was necessary. I mean he was aiming for immortality. Why continue your blood line if your never going to need someone to fill your spot? I guess he may have had a back up plan just in case, but Old Moldy Voldy doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who would do that. I mean he can't admit to himself that Harry is better than him.
That being said there were points of the story that I really did love, like Albus and Scorpius' relationship. As well as Harry and Draco caring about their sons, and dueling because of that and eventually becoming friends (because we all knew it would happen sooner or later). I also loved Harry and Ginny together and seeing into their married life.
I wish that this story also contained a few more of the original characters. I would have liked to hear more about the rest of the Weasleys. And I also really want to know what Draco does for a living, because I don't believe it was ever stated (except for in the alternate timeline where Voldemort wins the battle and becomes like a dictator or something, in which Draco is the Head of magiacal law enforcement).
