I spent a Saturday reading this in the early morning and discarding clothes all day. I finished reading while doing laundry on Sunday. As a book lover I confess to hate reading certain sections, but in the end, since I read almost exclusively ebooks, I came away with a positive impression.

I don't believe the more mystical stuff that really gives this book such a unique character, but the resulting repetition and self reflection can only be beneficial.

My main trouble with this book was that the target audience was exclusively female. Not once did Kondo contemplate that a man might find joy in tidying. Double checking, there was a male CEO, but the gender roles assumption frustrated me.

All in all an enjoyable read and it should help me get my apartment in order
