Okay, so this book essentially tarnished how I look at the whole series which is a shame. I read the series in its entirety for the first time and I was be very saddened by how much racism and sexism is permeated throughout the books. This one is definitely the worst. The enemy is referred to as “darkies” and described as smelling badly, etc. There is a also a part where the main characters put pigment on their skin to “blend in” with the enemy
