It was a pretty decent, fast paced book about Vikings. It was a bit refreshing as I haven’t read too much with that subject matter before. The writing style was awesome and I genuinely enjoyed reading it. The only qualms I had with was the predictability of the plot and the romance. I understand the relationship was developed over time, but it was hard for me to know when Fiske actually liked her. It almost seemed like he hated her up until he kissed her. However, I really liked the themes of family and loyalty and how the protagonist grew in that sense throughout the book. I would have loved the ending to be longer but I think this book does well as a standalone.
