This book was so beautifully written! The characters were beautifully complex, and the imagery was so vivid I couldn't put the book down.
At the beginning of the book, my favorite sister was Vianne. I was rolling my eyes at Isabelle's naivete and envying Vianne's marriage.
Also, Captain Beck seems really hot - just throwing that out there.
Then, with Isabelle becoming a war hero and reunting with Gaetan - whooboy!
It has been my favorite historical fiction book I've read so far in 2017.
